Worship Service

I am not really a church goer. If someone were to ask me of what I prefer to do on a Sunday, I would probably answer “Sleep”. I always tend to sleep all day long during a Sunday. I only go to church for once or twice in a month. Even though I am not that active at going to church, I tend to make up to the Lord by communicating to Him thru ways of praying to the Lord solemnly, reading the bible, and especially by having faith in Him and by believing in His words and gospels.
When I’ve learned that we are in need to attend a worship service to accomplish our project in English and CE, I was like “How am I supposed to write about this thing, I don’t even go to church.” When I’ve learned about it, I’ve thought of inventing a “make-up” mass that I’ve attended. But I think that it would be very ironic if I were to do that because the subject was about the Lord who taught us that we should commit sin while what I would be doing will be a great big lie. I would not just cheat on the subject but I would also cheat on the Lord our father.
Even though I woke up late during the faithful Sunday of October 6, I tend to attend the afternoon mass. I felt very happy that I’ve attended the mass because the mass helped me to become closer to our Father. I feel good listening to the song of praise to the Lord and to the homily that our priest talked about. The Homily was about family. The priest told that we should be close to our family because they are the ones who we can truly count on. We should love our families because they are always there for us. They are always there to guide and nourish us. The homily isn’t just about our biological family. What the homily was really saying is that we should be closer to our great, powerful father, God, because God will always be there for us. He will always be there to guide, nourish, and help us, in good times and in bad.
I was really grateful that I’ve attended the Mass. This helped me realized that I should look on to a better relationship with the Lord. This activity made me realized that I should be more active in our church and to our Lord. The experience was really great and I am happy that we had an activity/task like this, an activity/task that would help us students to be closer to our Father,  an activity that can be a way for us to communicate better to the Lord.

Retreat Plan

Being a fourth year student, the overnight retreat was one of my anticipated events because it is a chance for me to bond with my classmates, and get out, even for a while from my problems and responsibilities in life. I’ve anticipated that there will be a lot of lessons to be learned, memories to be cherished, and especially a lot of time for us to have fun.
The 2-day retreat really gave us a lot of memories to be cherished. An example of this is during the sharing that we made in the middle of the night. A lot of us shared all their problems and challenges in life. I will never forget that memory because during that time, I saw that I was so blessed by God and very lucky that I don’t have such serious problems that my classmates are facing. Even though I wasn’t able to share my problems in life, I am still happy because I was able to know that God didn’t gave our family that kind of problems and trials, I am happy that my family is not facing those kind of problems that my classmates are facing. At the same time, I also felt sorry for my classmates because I was such a big bully on some of them. These experiences will never be forgotten. I know that we will all cherish these good memories and I know that it had strengthened our bond as a class. I know that the retreat had changed our lives and I know that thru the retreat, our class, IV-Integrity, had changed from being just a group to a family, a family that are always there for each other and a family that will never leave each other’s side.

The retreat really changed my life and I know that it also changed the lives of my fellow classmates. After the retreat, I am becoming more sensitive to the feelings of others, especially my classmates, and more and more caring for others. I am becoming a better person than before. The retreat really made an impact in our lives. It had strengthened the bond and tightened our friendship more than before.

Retreat Experience

Lipa, Batangas, One of the most memorable place in my life that's were our Retreat happen. That is my first time to have a Retreat. First I got really nervous because I really don't know what are the programs in a Retreat. And later in the bus I got some ideas about the Retreat. They said that there is an event that everyone will cry and there will be fun activities and sharing activities.

After a few hours we arrived at the Retreat Center. In the Retreat center we discussed alot of things. One of them is love God because God loves us too because he send his only begotten son which is Jesus Christ and with Jesus Christ he cleanse all our sins and all our wrong doings. And that made me realize that God truly loves us all and he needs our love back for him. Next we need to love our family especially our parents because with them I got really confident and making them my Inspiration. And our parent's taught us that we must be faithful to God and we must love him.

After the discussion, we had our sharing activity. In that activity we need to share our problems to our fellow classmates and our caring adviser. As the sharing activity continue it made me realize that I am really blessed and really lucky because I have a lighter problem than my other classmates. The common problem there is broken family. And For that it made me love my family and take care of them because they are one of the precious gift that God has given me.

In the retreat a really meaningful lesson made me learned that a life without love is meaningless. we must live with full of love to our family, friends and most especially God.

Life Verse

(1 John 3:20) “God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more than we do ourselves.” This is one of the Bible verses that I've been holding on through my whole life. In our daily lives, we encounter many problems and challenges. Instead of complaining and winning about it, we should better devote ourselves to the Lord and have faith in Him. This verse tells us that the Lord knows every problem and challenges that we had encounter, are encountering, and will encounter in the future. He has the master plan to our problems and especially, the proper and best solution to that problem. This verse tells us that in every problem that we face, we must first be aware that there is the Lord who had already devised a great way or plan to solve that problem. We should remember that thru that problem that he had given us; we will somehow or somewhat improve and become a stronger and better person than before.
Even though I am still a student, I've already seen and encountered a lot of problems and trials. Some are big while some are small. But in every problem that I’ve faced, I always hold onto that one, great, powerful person. God. I’ve always put my faith and trust in Him, that He will guide me to the best possible answer to that problem. And as expected, my problems were all washed away and solve and somehow or something had improved in me. I became stronger and better than before.

The Lord is the answer and solution to our problems because He is the one who planned and devised it and He will never give us big or small problems that we can’t conquer. He only gives us trials and challenges to strengthen our spirit, revitalize our minds and nourish our life. He gave us this problems and trials for us to improve and for us to have stronger faith and bond with the Lord.
